Vertis Venture 3 Tech Transfer (VV3TT) fund by VERTIS SGR and advised by VENTURE FACTORY closed a round on VRMedia S.r.l., a spin-off company from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy, dedicated to developing a new platform for the use of Augmented Reality and Wearable Computing in the context of industrial maintenance.
VRMedia team has developed and patented the most advanced platform for remote maintenance activities of industrial facilities. Such platform enables on-site technicians to perform very complex maintenance operations guided by a remote expert, sharing data, information, system schemes, thermal and visual videos; VRMedia’s system can operate even in very remote global locations, with full data protection, enabling significant saving in time and maintenance costs and increase plant productivity.

ItaTech’s objective is to nurture Italy’s ecosystem for innovation and international competitiveness by facilitating access to equity and innovation investments over the whole business life-cycle, from the start-up and seed stages to the growth/expansion stage as well as the valorization and commercialization of Intellectual Property (IP).
